Our independent research shows that a brain tumour diagnosis can be financially devastating for a family – 96% of the people that we interviewed said it had a negative effect on their household finances.
That's why at YBTC we regularly monitor local trusts and foundations, and submit bids to secure support funding for our service-users. We're delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing fund from the Leeds Community Foundation - to enable us to offer grants of up to £300 for patients who live in the Leeds area. This funding comes in the form of e-vouchers, which can be allocated almost instantly and redeemed at a variety of online/high street providers. We can offer each patient £100 to spend on food, £100 to spend on utilities and £100 to spend on wider essentials.
