Financial Support
A brain tumour diagnosis not only brings emotional and physical challenges but can also lead to unexpected financial strain on families. We understand the difficulties families face during such times, and we're committed to offering practical support through welfare advice and localised hardship grants wherever possible.

Welfare Advice?
Navigating the world of benefits and financial support can be confusing, especially during a difficult time. YBTC provides access to expert welfare advice to help you:
-
Understand what financial support you’re entitled to, including benefits and allowances
-
Apply for disability-related benefits, such as Personal Independence Payments (PIP) or Universal Credit
-
Access other financial assistance schemes for medical-related travel or equipment
-
Find guidance on employment rights and flexible working options
Hardship Grants:
Our team regularly scan the local funding landscape across Yorkshire, actively seeking out new opportunities for hardship grants. By partnering with local trusts and community-based initiatives, we work to secure additional resources that can be passed on directly to brain tumour patients and families. This proactive approach allows us to provide essential financial support for things like food costs, wider essentials and utility bills, helping to ease the burden of a brain tumour diagnosis.
